Founded by Ted Duboise, Pasta Kwik™ is a quick-serve spaghetti concept – built with a small menu and fierce execution.
Ted Duboise is a Quick Service restaurant and Fast Casual restaurant veteran serving in a variety of roles in operational management.
Ted’s leadership skills have been a hallmark of his career. He has been a mentor to many of his colleagues. Ted learned early in his career that people are the keys to any successful business. We sell food – but we are in the People business. His mantra: We take care of People first!
He began his restaurant career in March of 1982 as a manager in the dinner house division of Shoney’s, Inc., becoming General Manager in under two years. While here, he worked with Ray Danner and Dave Wachtel.
He moved on to become a General Manager with Krystal Company and a year and a half later was promoted to Area Manager responsible for $4.5 million in revenue. He oversaw the total remodel of four units from landscaping to kitchen.
Ted decided he wanted to really learn the back-of-house operations and became a kitchen manager with The Spaghetti Warehouse. One year later he was promoted to Sr. Kitchen Manager and managed the kitchen operations of the second highest volume unit within the company at $5.4 million.
He joined Cracker Barrel in February, 1995 and became General Manager within two years. He oversaw the new store opening of a unit that would do over $5 million in sales with the retail store unit doing $1.3 million. Danny Owens, the founder, was still with the company at this time.
In August of 2000, Ted joined Ruby Tuesday as a General Manager. Two years later he became a Managing Partner and oversaw the new store opening of his unit. During this opening, Ted worked with Ms. Kimberly Grant. The opening was so successful he was asked to help with six other new store openings for the company.
